Steel Institute Board Hosts Congressional Guests

Congressmen Tom Reed (R-NY) and Tim Ryan (D-OH), co-chairs of the House Manufacturing Caucus, participated in a round table discussion with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Board of Directors during the Winter Board Meeting on February 6 in Washington, D.C. The honored guests spoke at an informal breakfast session, fielding questions from steel executives concerning policies, legislation and regulations affecting the North American steel industry – primarily regarding the issues of tax and trade. The AISI Board of Directors later voted to approve the Institute’s 2014 Public Policy Agenda, part of an aggressive strategy by AISI and member companies to promote a pro-manufacturing agenda.
