CONGRESSIONAL BRIEFING ON ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) sponsored a Congressional Briefing on Advanced Manufacturing: Gaining the Advantage in a Fiercely Competitive Global Economy. The event held on February 11, 2016 was widely attended by Congressional Staff and industry with nearly 200 attendees. Congressman Tim Ryan, House Manufacturing Caucus Co-Chair, spoke to the important role advanced manufacturing plays in strengthening the U.S. economy and to Congress’s role of ensuring proper investment. Speakers at the briefing described the advanced manufacturing programs at DOC, DOD, DOE and NSF.
